The 2 layers provide additional strength and durability for the dome whilst putting on removing the protector numerous times.

Ollie at Home Scarf Protectors withstand commercial washing conditions (constant washing at high temperatures).

The cotton top-layer is pre-washed to avoid shrinkage.
